Future Generali Insurance India has introduced a new health insurance plan, Health Unlimited, amid rising medical costs. The move is expected to have a positive effect on the pace of business in the future. Reporting from Insurance Asia, Monday, May 19th, 2025, according to a Future Generali survey conducted on 800 insured persons, aged over 25 years, more than 80% expressed uncertainty about whether their current health insurance was adequate or not. On the other hand, India recorded a medical inflation rate of around 14 percent in 2021, which is higher than China at 12 percent, Indonesia at 10%, Vietnam at 10%, and the Philippines at 9%.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Future Generali India Insurance Anup Rau said the rising cost of medical care continues to burden many Indians, even those who already have insurance.“This plan offers unlimited recovery of insurance money starting from the second claim,” he said.This product, Anu continued, includes coverage for hospitalization, childcare procedures, Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) treatment before and after hospitalization, organ donation costs, and modern treatment methods.
