AN APTITUDE FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE TALES FROM ITALIAN MANUFACTURING
Curators: Odo Fioravanti, Giulio Iacchetti, and Francesca Picchi
Exhibition designer: Mario Trimarchi
In the context of Italian Design Day 2023, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture Jakarta presented an exhibition entitled "Created in Italy. An Aptitude for the Impossible Stories of Italian Manufacturers", which was held at the National Gallery of Indonesia.
"Created in Italy" is an exploration of modern industry in Italy. The exhibition aims to tell the amazing story of technical prowess and, with every strand of that story, to weave a tapestry woven from the productive and quality drive that Italians have in their DNA.
These qualities include an ardent quest for perfection and a passion for creation, which are recognized worldwide. Apart from that, there is also constant experimentation in an effort to transcend material limitations, satisfaction when creating good products, tuning the right instrument so that it can improve human life, the enjoyment that comes from a beautiful object, as well as life lived to the fullest. In addition, there is also an openness to accepting challenges, making products according to size, and having the ability to adapt processes and techniques. The exhibition is open to the public every day (except holidays) from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. WIB, from 9 March to 6 April 2023. It is free of charge, but registration is required.
