Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that comprehensive improvements to governance and work processes, alongside enhanced workforce competence, are crucial for boosting corporate productivity. “Workforce competence must be linked to corporate productivity. When competence rises, work processes improve, technology is utilized optimally, and a culture of continuous improvement takes root, the competitiveness of both the company and the national economy will also increase,” Yassierli said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Manpower’s (Kemnaker) efforts to provide guidance to 20 companies across the manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality sectors. The aim is to enhance productivity by improving systems and work processes between September and November 2026. This assistance is part of the Ministry’s broader effort to boost corporate productivity while strengthening economic competitiveness and the quality of Indonesia’s workforce landscape.
Its implementation involves at least 25 trained productivity specialists, 20 instructors, and 20 National Internship participants. To ensure improvements are tailored to each company's specific needs, the Minister of Manpower stated that the program employs a company-based productivity improvement approach. The assistance process begins with baseline measurement and a productivity diagnosis, followed by root cause identification, the formulation of a productivity improvement plan, the implementation of improvements, and the monitoring and evaluation of impact.
