The Ministry of Trade has officially introduced Ministry of Trade Regulation Number 16 of 2026, establishing a major structural transformation for national strategic commodity exports. Effective fully on January 1, 2027, the newly socialized legal framework mandates that all palm oil shipments and key derived products, including crude palm oil and refined derivatives, must be funneled through a single designated state enterprise, PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia. During the current transition phase, existing exporters can continue standard shipping operations provided they submit mandatory digital reports to the designated state entity to ensure data synchronization.
