Indonesia has confirmed that existing palm oil export policies, including domestic market obligations and export duties, will remain in place despite the government’s plan to shift strategic commodity exports under the management of Danantara. Authorities emphasized that the transition is intended to strengthen export governance, improve transparency, and maintain stability in the national palm oil industry while ensuring domestic cooking oil supplies remain secure.
The government stated that the new export framework will continue supporting Indonesia’s role as one of the world’s leading palm oil exporters while improving oversight of trade activities and state revenue collection. Officials also highlighted that existing export contracts and industry operations will continue during the transition period, providing certainty for businesses and international buyers as the country modernizes its commodity export system.
