Indonesia is targeting economic growth of up to 6.5% in 2027 as the government introduces a new export management scheme aimed at improving transparency and increasing state revenue from commodity exports. President Prabowo Subianto stated that the country plans to strengthen oversight of strategic commodities, including coal, palm oil, and ferroalloys, while encouraging more efficient export administration and stronger economic performance.
The government also expressed confidence that the new system will support long-term national growth and help Indonesia move closer to its ambitious 8% economic growth target by 2029. The policy is expected to improve export governance, strengthen fiscal stability, and reinforce Indonesia’s position as a major global commodity producer while maintaining investor confidence and sustainable development efforts.
