Bengkayang Exports 100 Tons of Corn to Malaysia via Jagoi Babang Border Post

The regency of Bengkayang has officially exported 100 tons of corn to Malaysia, marking a major success for the region's agricultural sector during the peak harvest of the second quarter of 2026. The high-quality cargo was dispatched directly through the Jagoi Babang State Border Post (PLBN), a key strategic crossing facility that connects West Kalimantan with neighboring Malaysian markets. This cross-border trade milestone showcases the region's significant agricultural surplus and its capability to meet international food supply demands efficiently.

Industry associations have welcomed this milestone, noting that the utilize of the local border infrastructure greatly optimizes logistics, lowers transport costs, and sharpens the competitiveness of Indonesian commodities. This export breakthrough is expected to provide a substantial economic boost to local farming communities while encouraging further regional production expansion. By streamlining trade regulations and maintaining robust product quality, Bengkayang aims to establish a consistent supply chain with Malaysia, solidifying its position as a vital agricultural export contributor along the nation's northern border.
