Natuna Exports Live Fish Worth IDR 1.2 Billion to Hong Kong

Natuna Regency in Indonesia’s Riau Islands Province has successfully exported 11,735 live fish worth IDR 1.2 billion to Hong Kong, further strengthening Indonesia’s fisheries export performance. The shipment included various high-value species such as tiger grouper, coral trout, mangrove grouper, and parrotfish sourced from the waters of Sedanau, Natuna. Authorities confirmed that all exported fish passed strict quarantine and laboratory inspections to ensure compliance with international health and safety standards.

The successful export demonstrates the growing potential of Natuna’s marine sector in supporting local economic growth and international trade. Officials stated that the export activity has contributed positively to fishermen’s livelihoods and increased economic circulation in Indonesia’s border regions. The consistent acceptance of Natuna’s fish exports by Hong Kong without rejection also reflects the reliability of Indonesia’s fisheries quality control and export procedures.
