Indonesia’s National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) is targeting economic growth of up to 7.5% by 2027 as part of the country’s long-term strategy to achieve higher national competitiveness and stronger regional development. Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy emphasized that the target can be achieved through stronger collaboration between central and regional governments, supported by increased investment, industrial downstreaming, infrastructure expansion, and productivity improvement across strategic sectors.
The government is also preparing dozens of national priority programs focused on food security, energy resilience, education, healthcare, industrial development, and poverty reduction. Bappenas highlighted that balanced regional economic growth will play a key role in accelerating national progress beyond major urban centers. Through coordinated development planning and stronger private sector participation, Indonesia aims to create a more inclusive and sustainable economic transformation in the coming years.
