Indonesia is accelerating the development of a nationwide green jobs ecosystem from upstream to downstream sectors through the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026. The program, initiated by Inovasi Muda in collaboration with Universitas Ciputra, aims to encourage sustainable business innovation while creating long-term employment opportunities for young people. More than 300 greenpreneurs from across Indonesia participated in the initiative, focusing on renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, and green transportation.

The initiative also supports the growth of scalable green startups and promotes collaboration between educational institutions and industry players to strengthen Indonesia’s future green economy. Organizers emphasized the importance of empowering young innovators to become job creators who can deliver positive environmental and social impacts while contributing to sustainable national development.
