Fishermen from Lebak Regency in Banten have achieved a significant milestone as their marine catch successfully enters global export markets, reflecting the high quality of local seafood. The exported products are dominated by large pelagic fish such as tuna, skipjack, mackerel, marlin, and wahoo, which are highly valued internationally due to their premium quality and nutritional content.

The export process is supported through distribution networks based in Jakarta, enabling local fishermen to access international buyers more efficiently. With an estimated monthly economic turnover of around IDR 5 billion and annual production reaching approximately 7,000 tons, this achievement highlights the strong potential of Lebak’s fisheries sector to contribute to regional economic growth and global trade.
