South Sumatra has strengthened its global trade presence by exporting processed coconut and agricultural products worth approximately IDR 1.6 billion to several international markets, including China, Taiwan, and France. The exported commodities include coconut shell charcoal, coconut chips, black pepper, and processed crackers, reflecting the region’s growing capability in producing value-added goods that meet international standards.
This achievement highlights a positive trend in regional economic development, supported by strong collaboration between government institutions, financial authorities, and young entrepreneurs. The initiative not only enhances export performance but also promotes inclusive economic growth, encourages business innovation, and expands global market access for local products. Continuous efforts in downstream processing and financial support are expected to further strengthen competitiveness and sustainability in the international market.
