Indonesia is offering 116 new oil and gas blocks to international investors as part of a strategic effort to strengthen energy production and meet national targets. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, reflects the country’s commitment to expanding upstream capacity while creating attractive opportunities for global partnerships.
Alongside opening new working areas, the government is also promoting technological and operational collaboration in existing projects through updated regulations, ensuring a more efficient and investor-friendly environment. With a 2026 production target of around 610,000 barrels of oil per day, authorities remain optimistic that ongoing reforms and clearer investment frameworks will accelerate project development and reinforce Indonesia’s position as a competitive energy investment destination.
