The government is intensifying efforts to strengthen the downstream cocoa industry by expanding exports of processed cocoa products, aiming to increase added value and enhance global competitiveness. This strategy focuses on shifting from raw commodity exports toward higher-value products such as cocoa butter and powder, supporting stronger trade performance and sustainable industry growth.
Through improved industrial capacity, innovation, and closer integration between upstream and downstream sectors, Indonesia is positioning itself to capture greater opportunities in international markets. The initiative is expected to create a more resilient supply chain, support farmers, and contribute positively to national economic development while meeting rising global demand for processed cocoa products.
