The Halal Industrial Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Sidoarjo is targeting investment absorption of up to IDR 97.8 trillion by 2054, aiming to accelerate Indonesia’s halal industry development and strengthen its economic growth. The initiative is projected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs while reinforcing the country’s position in the global halal supply chain.
Planned as an integrated ecosystem covering manufacturing, processing, logistics, and distribution, the zone is drawing strong interest from international investors across multiple regions. Supported by regulatory incentives and the upcoming nationwide halal certification policy in 2026, Indonesia is positioning itself as a competitive and reliable hub to meet rising global demand for halal products.
