The Indonesian government has officially announced its readiness to transition into the B50 biodiesel era starting in July 2026. This landmark policy mandates a 50% palm oil-based fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) blend into diesel fuel, marking a significant leap in the national renewable energy roadmap. By increasing the domestic consumption of crude palm oil, the government aims to drastically reduce reliance on expensive fossil fuel imports.
