Indonesia is intensifying investment in renewable energy to strengthen its economic resilience amid increasingly complex global challenges. During a government briefing, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani emphasized that expanding renewable energy development is a strategic priority to safeguard the national economy.
The government plans to accelerate investments in key renewable sectors such as geothermal, solar, and hydropower, while implementing comprehensive strategies across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto highlighted that Indonesia’s strong economic fundamentals and stable fiscal position will support this transition, alongside policies promoting energy efficiency and digital transformation.
