New investment funding worth SGD 50 million has been secured to accelerate the development of solar power and green hydrogen initiatives in Indonesia. The investment is expected to support the country’s clean energy transition while strengthening renewable energy infrastructure and promoting sustainable industrial growth across several strategic regions.
The funding will contribute to the development of a sustainable industrial zone in Batam, Bintan, and Karimun, which is planned to become a regional hub for clean energy manufacturing, battery storage, and logistics activities. The broader project pipeline includes large-scale solar photovoltaic capacity, battery energy storage systems, and green hydrogen production, which are expected to strengthen regional cooperation in renewable energy and support Indonesia’s long-term decarbonization goals.
