The Indonesian government is strengthening support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by expanding market access and providing more business spaces for small entrepreneurs. Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar highlighted that MSMEs, including family-run businesses and enterprises led by housewives, have shown strong resilience during economic challenges and continue to play an important role in supporting household incomes and national economic stability.
To further promote MSME products, the government is encouraging the use of public facilities for business and promotional activities. One initiative is the “Jejak Jajanan Nusantara” food bazaar festival held from March 6–8 at the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Jakarta, featuring more than 40 curated MSME stalls offering traditional foods, crafts, and business development programs. The government also plans to replicate similar initiatives across different regions of Indonesia to help MSMEs expand their customer base, strengthen branding, and improve product competitiveness in broader markets.
