Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture announced a significant milestone as 545 tons of poultry and related products were exported to Singapore, Japan, and Timor Leste, valued at approximately IDR 18.2 billion. The shipment reflects the nation’s strengthened production capacity following self-sufficiency in egg and chicken supply, while reinforcing its presence in international markets. Government strategies to manage surplus through expanded export channels and domestic support programs aim to maintain farm-level price stability and long-term industry growth.
The exports were facilitated by major domestic producers and supported by enhanced veterinary certification and international standard compliance, boosting confidence among global buyers. This development not only showcases Indonesia’s agribusiness resilience but also opens the door for broader participation in export markets, helping the national poultry sector to build competitiveness and contribute to economic progress.
