BRIN Researcher Predicts Indonesia-US Agreement to Boost Exports by 15%

A researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) predicts that the latest strategic trade agreements between Indonesia and the United States will trigger a 15% surge in national export volumes. This projection is based on the strengthening bilateral cooperation and the reduction of trade barriers across several key sectors. The agreement is expected to provide Indonesian exporters with more competitive access to one of the world’s largest markets, fostering a more robust economic synergy between the two nations.

This optimistic growth forecast is anticipated to be driven largely by the agricultural, manufacturing, and renewable energy sectors. To fully capitalize on this 15% increase, industry players are encouraged to enhance product standards and supply chain efficiency to meet the rigorous demands of the US market. This partnership not only aims to increase trade value but also serves as a critical foundation for long-term economic stability and deeper industrial integration, positioning Indonesia as a key strategic partner for the United States in the Indo-Pacific region.
