Indonesia has reaffirmed its strong commitment to advancing ASEAN tourism through active participation in the ASEAN Travel Exchange (ATF TRAVEX) 2026 in Cebu, the Philippines. The event serves as the region’s leading business-to-business tourism platform and highlights Indonesia’s focus on promoting its tourism potential while accelerating digital transformation. A key highlight was the introduction of MaiA, an artificial intelligence-based initiative under the Tourism 5.0 program, designed to deliver smart, data-driven travel services through the Indonesia.travel platform and enhance visitor experiences.
ASEAN remains a vital market for Indonesia’s tourism growth, contributing 36.5% of total foreign tourist arrivals between January and November 2025. Indonesia showcased its offerings through the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion, featuring curated destinations, experience-based tourism products, and cultural performances that reflect the country’s rich heritage. Supported by collaboration with regional partners and industry stakeholders, Indonesia aims to attract 16–17.6 million international visitors in 2026, positioning itself as a competitive, sustainable, and digitally driven tourism leader within ASEAN.
