In 2025, despite global geopolitical shifts, climate challenges, and rapid technological disruptions, Indonesia continues to navigate successfully toward its vision of becoming one of the world’s top five economies by 2045. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that investor confidence is built on trust and accountability, with accountants, auditors, and finance professionals serving as essential architects of reliable reporting.
Minister Hartarto highlighted that adherence to international standards ensures data accuracy and reliability, enabling investors and policymakers to make informed decisions. Credible financial and sustainability reporting is central to attracting investment, supporting social and environmental impact, and advancing Indonesia’s green and digital economy transformation. Positive economic indicators, including a Manufacturing PMI of 53.3, Consumer Confidence Index of 121.2, rising household spending, and growth in vehicle sales, demonstrate resilience and strong prospects for 2026, with projected economic growth surpassing the baseline target of 5.4%.
