Indonesia’s export agency Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) reports a substantial rise in the export of whole coconuts (“buah kelapa bulat”) from January to October 2025. The total export value reached USD 208.2 million—a 143.90% increase compared with the same period in 2024.
The biggest destination was Tiongkok (China), accounting for USD 171.3 million of the exports, followed by Vietnam with USD 34.4 million, and Malaysia with USD 1.2 million. In October 2025 alone, coconut exports reached USD 22.8 million—up 71.37% year-on-year, though slightly down 1.29% compared with the previous month.
