Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, officially launched the export of various products from the region’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) valued at Rp 10.1 billion at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, on Saturday, 29 November 2025. The exported goods include local commodities such as edible-nest swiftlet nests, stingray fish, shrimp chips, coffee, cincau (local herbal drink), cardamom, and other local products — all produced by farmers and small business actors across Central Java.
According to the Chairman of the Badan Karantina Indonesia (Barantin), Sahat, these exports were the result of collaboration between farmers’ group associations (Gapoktan) and MSMEs that Barantin has assisted. Barantin now not only handles certification, but also guides MSMEs to meet export standards for international markets. As of November 2025, Central Java’s total export value reached Rp 18.2 trillion with 24,935 quarantine-certificates issued. Barantin aims to push the 2026 export value beyond Rp 20 trillion.
