The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (Kemlu RI) reiterated Indonesia’s strong commitment to maintain and advance a positive and constructive partnership with Iran, aiming to develop Indonesia–Iran cooperation in the future. This was stated by the Ministry’s Economic Diplomacy Expert Staff, Zelda Wulan Kartika, during the opening of an archival exhibition commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Iran in Jakarta. She noted that the partnership between the two countries has rapidly expanded across various sectors such as politics, economy, health, education, and technology. The comprehensive journey of bilateral relations is now commemorated through curated archives on display.
Beyond simply presenting historical records, Zelda emphasized that the exhibition reflects the essence of diplomacy as a strong platform that fosters mutual understanding, friendship, and international cooperation. She encouraged the younger generation and the broader public to appreciate the valuable legacy and future potential of Indonesia–Iran relations. Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Iran to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, said that the archival exhibition honors a bilateral journey built upon shared values, mutual respect, and deep partnership. The displayed documents — including letters, agreements, photos, and archived materials — narrate the story of two nations whose histories, cultures, and aspirations have meaningfully and significantly interacted.
