Indonesia has extended its trade surplus streak to 65 months in a row, through the third quarter of 2025. According to Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), exports of goods reached USD 74.39 billion, rising 8.96% year-on-year, while imports dropped 2.09% to USD 60.39 billion. The strong export performance signals improved competitiveness of Indonesian products amid global economic challenges.
Additional data from BPS show non-oil and gas exports and the manufacturing sector as key drivers of this achievement, underscoring Indonesia’s success in exporting more value-added products and managing import levels effectively.
