Minister of Public Works (PU), Dody Hanggodo, and Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, attended the Coordination Meeting for the 2025 Work Plan at the Ministry of Coordinating Infrastructure and Regional Development Office in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Coordinating Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). During the meeting, Minister AHY emphasized the importance of efficiency and the impact of infrastructure development in supporting economic growth and ensuring equitable welfare for the people. "Infrastructure development must be more targeted, efficient, and have a direct impact on both economic growth and the equitable distribution of welfare," said AHY.
Minister Dody Hanggodo explained that the focus of the Ministry of Public Works in 2025 is to act as an enabler for economic growth. "It's not just about public infrastructure investment, but how that infrastructure can enable efficiency in productive sectors, poverty alleviation, and encourage economic growth," Dody clarified. The 2025 work plan outlines several key targets for development across sectors like water resources, transportation, basic services, and strategic infrastructure. These include building dams, expanding irrigation networks, improving sanitation access, and developing industrial and tourism areas. These plans aim to support the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) for 2025–2029 and the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) for 2025–2045, in line with sustainable development goals.
