Create Job Opportunities, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Encourages the Development of the Creative Industry

The Ministry of Creative Economy (KemenEkraf) continues to push for the development of the creative industry sector as a means of creating quality jobs, while also working towards the vision of Indonesia Golden 2045. Over the past 10 years, the creative economy sector has experienced rapid growth, with employment in the sector doubling to 24.92 million people. Additionally, the sector's value-added contribution has surged significantly, reaching IDR 1,414 trillion. Minister of Creative Economy, Riefky Harsya, emphasized that these achievements highlight the critical role of this sector in driving national economic growth, prompting the government under President Prabowo's leadership to position the creative economy as a core business in the vision and mission of the Prabowo-Gibran administration.

Riefky further noted that President Prabowo is deeply committed to developing the creative economy as a new engine of growth for Indonesia’s economy. To achieve this, KemenEkraf is working with various stakeholders to strengthen a targeted creative economy ecosystem, including launching quick-win programs. Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf), Triawan Munaf, praised the efforts made by KemenEkraf and Bekraf, stating that they have laid a solid foundation to further strengthen the sector in the future. He also expressed his pride and optimism about the policy direction, which he believes holds great promise for supporting the continued growth of Indonesia's creative economy.
