In a discussion with Pro 3 RRI on Sunday, August 11, 2024, Turhadi emphasized that the Quarantine Agency, reporting directly to the President, plays a crucial role in safeguarding against the threats posed by pests and diseases to animals, fish, and plants. The Quarantine Center serves as the frontline defense against these threats at key transit points, including airports, seaports, and border crossings. With over 600 service posts across Indonesia, the Banten Province Quarantine Center operates at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Ciwandan, Merak Port.
