The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) reported that in April 2024, Indonesia recorded 1.07 million international tourist arrivals, marking a 23.23% increase compared to the same period last year. "Comparing April this year to April last year, we see a growth of 23.23%," said Nia Niscaya, Principal Expert in Tourism and Creative Economy at Kemenparekraf, during a weekly press conference held in Jakarta on Monday.
Furthermore, she noted that month-to-month (March to April) international tourist arrivals increased by 2.41%, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released recently. Cumulatively, international tourist arrivals in Indonesia from January to April 2024 grew by 24.85% compared to the same period last year.
