Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali officially implemented the Single Submission Export (SSm Export) and Import-Export Autogate System on Monday, June 3. This initiative has proven effective, with 178 export documents processed by May and 169 tons of fish commodities exported, generating IDR 54.6 billion in export revenue. Bowo Pramoedito, Head of Counseling and Information Services at Ngurah Rai Customs, explained that these systems are designed to enhance efficiency and ease the export process for businesses in Indonesia, particularly in Bali.
SSm Export is a digital platform that integrates various export document processes such as export goods notifications (PEB), certificates of origin (SKA), and quarantine applications into a single system. “With SSm Export, all necessary data and information can be submitted in one go, reducing repetition and duplication of processes,” Bowo explained. “The autogate system offers benefits such as speeding up the release of imported and exported goods, previously done manually, by maximizing online connectivity and real-time monitoring,” he added. The implementation of the autogate system is part of compliance with regulations on Temporary Storage Facilities (TPS). This system has been piloted since 2021 and will be mandatory in Bali by 2024 for two TPS locations: Jasa Angkasa Semesta and Angkasa Pura Logistik. “Ngurah Rai Customs is committed to supporting business facilitation in Bali. This system is expected to be an effective solution for streamlining export processes, enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian products in global markets, and driving national economic growth,” Bowo concluded.
