In early 2024, Yogyakarta Customs released hundreds of kilograms of gloves originating from Bantul, Yogyakarta, for export to the United States. PT Samku Glove Indonesia conducted the export on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, via Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang. "This export marks the company's debut after a severe fire incident in November. To aid in their recovery, we provided assistance through customs visit company (CVC)," explained the Acting Head of Yogyakarta Customs Office, Muh. Nasrul Fatah, on Monday, January 8, 2024.
In this export, PT Samku Glove Indonesia shipped 308 kilograms of gloves valued at USD 23,460 or approximately IDR 363,911,520. "Succeeding in its recovery, the company not only resumed production but also exported its products, marking the inaugural export of 2024 monitored by Yogyakarta Customs. Hopefully, this export momentum continues," Nasrul concluded.
