The Ngawi Regency Government, through the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs (DPMPTSP), is actively employing strategies to enhance the quality of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) products, aiming for global markets, specifically targeting Dubai and America. This initiative involves facilitating MSMEs in hybrid product improvement at the Notosuman Building on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Key figures present at the event included Regent Ngawi Ony Anwar Harsono, Julian Setiarsa from the Export Center Surabaya, Head of DPMPTSP Totok Sudaryanto, Head of the Trade, Industry, and Labor Office Kusumawati Nilam, Cooperative Head Harsoyo, as well as representatives from relevant departments. Arief Wibisono, Director of Market Development and Export Information at the Directorate General of National Export Development (PEN), Iska Huberta Sinurat, Head of ITPC (Indonesia Trade Promotion Center) Chicago, Khumaini, Head of ITPC Dubai, and Widi from the Directorate of P2IE (Market Development and Export Information) attended via Zoom.

Expressing gratitude, Regent Ony Anwar Harsono thanked the Director of Market Development and Export Information at PEN for providing UMK entrepreneurs in Ngawi the opportunity to initiate their first exports. He viewed this as an opening for Ngawi's UMK products to be introduced on the international stage. Moreover, the Regent emphasized the need for a sustainable system with ongoing support. He stated, "This is to ensure that UMK products, which have not yet passed the export selection, can be favored by workers and communities in other countries, leading to renewed demand for our products." Head of DPMPTSP Totok Sudaryanto highlighted the event as a manifestation of synergy among regional apparatus and UMK enthusiasts to enhance competitiveness on the global stage. He disclosed that, for now, only a few types of products, including furniture, crafts, food, and woven items, are ready for export to Dubai and America. For other products that haven't qualified for export, UMKs are encouraged to elevate the quality and innovation of their offerings. During the event, Regent Ony Anwar Harsono officially released the UMK products set for export to Dubai and America, marking a significant step in promoting Ngawi's entrepreneurial ventures on the international platform.
