Malang's MSMEs Achieves Breakthrough in Taiwan Market with Cheese Snack Exports

In a continuous effort to provide assistance, Malang Customs successfully facilitated the inaugural export of cheese snacks from Malang to the Taiwanese market. The export ceremony took place on Thursday (07/12) at the Malang Customs Office in the city of Malang. Gunawan Tri Wibowo, the Head of Malang Customs Office, expressed the office's commitment to consistently support the success of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in exports. This initiative aligns with the national economic recovery program (PEN), focusing on UMKM development and empowerment. "In this inaugural export, we released 1 Less than Container Load (LCL) container of 'Barin Cheese Twist' snacks to Taiwan, with an export value of USD 175.19," he explained. The success of this first export signifies the substantial potential of Malang's food and beverage UMKM to penetrate international markets. This achievement is expected to stimulate and motivate other UMKM to realize their export potential. Gunawan expressed gratitude to all parties involved in supporting this successful export, including the local government and the National Single Window (LNSW) institution under the Ministry of Finance. He hoped that such initiatives would be sustained for the benefit of UMKM.

Malang Customs' commitment to fostering UMKM exports reflects a broader strategy to contribute to the national economic recovery by empowering local businesses. The successful export of cheese snacks to Taiwan not only showcases the quality of Malang's UMKM products but also opens new opportunities for these businesses in the global market. This achievement emphasizes the crucial role of government institutions and collaborative efforts in creating an environment conducive to UMKM growth and international market access. As UMKM continues to explore and enter global markets, it contributes positively to Indonesia's economic resilience and diversification. The support from various stakeholders, including customs offices and government agencies, remains pivotal for sustaining and expanding such initiatives in the future.
