Klaten-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), Wastraloka, celebrated its inaugural export to China with the assistance of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) through the BCA Bangga Lokal program. Operating under PT Wastraloka Indo Kreasi, the UMKM successfully exported a series of flagship products worth IDR 110 million to the Indonesian diaspora community in China, represented by Warisan Roemah Indonesia (WRI). WRI, initiated by Indonesian diaspora members in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing and the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia in Beijing, aims to promote Indonesian UMKMs in China. Eni Anjayani, the owner of Wastraloka, expressed deep appreciation for BCA's continuous support, highlighting the success of their maiden export. She acknowledged BCA's pivotal role in providing sustained assistance through the UMKM Binaan BCA Go Export 2023 program, enabling valuable experiences and benefits for developing highly competitive products. "Our first export would not have been successful without BCA's continuous support. Through the UMKM Binaan BCA Go Export 2023 program, we gained various experiences and valuable benefits that helped develop high-quality, competitive products," stated Anjayani on Tuesday (28/11/2023). She emphasized the significance of BCA's efforts in connecting Wastraloka with numerous potential partners through sponsored events like expos, exhibitions, and business matching. Anjayani attributed their participation in Trade Expo Indonesia 2023, encouraged by BCA, as instrumental in realizing their dream of introducing diverse Indonesian textiles abroad.

Haryn, EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility at BCA, highlighted BCA's commitment to collaborating with the Indonesian government to elevate the status and competitiveness of Indonesian UMKMs. Beyond mentorship and streamlined financing access, BCA ensures that UMKMs under its guidance have strong connections in both domestic and global markets. Wastraloka, specializing in recycled material gift and home decoration business, is considered to have met various criteria and quality standards for export, thanks to its high-quality and environmentally friendly product innovations. The UMKM's positive results coupled with its initiative to empower local artists, further enhance the value of its products. The maiden export to China by Wastraloka is anticipated to inspire other Indonesian UMKMs to explore export opportunities and expand their market reach.
