The investment realization in South Jakarta for the first semester (January-June) of 2023 has reached IDR 40.5 trillion, surpassing the set target of IDR 22 trillion by 179%. The investment realization for the first semester of 2023 in DKI Jakarta Province amounted to IDR 79.4 trillion as stated by the Head of the Investment Management Unit and Integrated One-Stop Service Office for South Jakarta Administrative City. She emphasized that this achievement means that South Jakarta has contributed more than half of the investment realization in DKI Jakarta. She also explained that with this achievement, South Jakarta ranks first among the six city/regency regions in terms of investment realization in DKI Jakarta. She added that the sectors most sought after by investors are real estate, office, and transportation. The largest investments come from abroad, particularly from Singapore, the People's Republic of China (China), and Hong Kong.
This achievement is undoubtedly the result of the hard work of all parties involved, and hopefully, with the ease of access to licensing services provided, it will increase the interest of investors to invest their capital, especially in the South Jakarta Administrative City. Based on the data from the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the realization of Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) in DKI Jakarta Province during January-June 2023 amounted to IDR 40.6 trillion, contributing 12.9% to the total national PMDN realization and placing DKI Jakarta Province in the first position for PMDN realization in Indonesia. The Head of the Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Office (PMPTSP) of DKI Jakarta Province, stated that the realization of Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) in DKI Jakarta Province during January-June 2023 recorded a total realization of USD 2.6 billion or approximately IDR 38.9 trillion, contributing 10.7% to the total national PMA realization. According to him, the cumulative largest investment realization is still in the South Jakarta region, with an investment value of IDR 40.5 trillion, consisting of IDR 26.57 trillion from PMDN and IDR 13.93 trillion from PMA. Subsequently, Central Jakarta recorded IDR 15.03 trillion, North Jakarta IDR 8.97 trillion, East Jakarta IDR 7.54 trillion, and West Jakarta IDR 7.35 trillion. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands Administrative Regency recorded an investment realization of IDR 29.85 billion. In aggregate, DKI Jakarta's investment realization, which reached IDR 79.5 trillion in January-June 2023, has reached 155% of the total target set.
