The head of the Integrated Investment and One-Stop Service Office (DPMPTSP) of Magelang City, stated that the investment realization in Magelang City for the first semester of 2023 reached IDR 446 billion, which is approximately 46.6% of the targeted IDR 956 billion, and the average annual increase is about 16% as stated during the 10th Investment Business Forum (Massif) in Magelang. This annual event initiated by the DPMPTSP of Magelang City serves as a platform for promoting investment potential and business opportunities for prospective investors. The 10th Massif event serves as a dialogue forum between the Magelang City Government and investors to build strategic partnerships aimed at boosting investment in Magelang City. It also serves as an open dialogue forum related to efforts to improve investment and a conducive business climate.
Among the speakers at the event were investors, the DPMPTSP of Central Java Province, association partners, and business actors from both Magelang City and other regions. According to her, Magelang City has several potential areas, including the Sidotopo region, shopping centers, TKL Ecopark, Sport Center Gelora Sanden, Gunung Tidar Botanical Garden, Soekarno-Hatta Street area, Alun-alun (town square), and Kebon Polo. The information on investment potential and opportunities is expected to facilitate prospective investors, leading to accelerated investment realization. The Mayor of Magelang City emphasized that Magelang City is highly promising for investments. He supports efforts to boost investment and ensures that the permitting processes and other aspects are made more straightforward. He alsomentioned that Magelang City is located near the Super Priority National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) of Borobudur Temple, emphasizing the need to seize opportunities quickly. During the event, The Mayor also witnessed the signing of the Statement of Investment Interest by the Head of DPMPTSP and several investors, including those in the property and hospitality sectors.
