The Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) 2023 became a business platform that brought together dozens of investors from both domestic and international spheres, as well as project owners. The Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Central Java, stated that the presence of numerous investors underscores their interest in various circular economy projects showcased at CJIBF 2023, including projects related to industries and energy. Following the one-on-one meetings held on August 21-22, 2023, as part of the CJIBF 2023 series, 21 investors expressed interest in 17 projects, culminating in a total investment value of IDR 19.23 trillion. This interest encompasses investment across industrial, energy, tourism, and service sectors, spread across several districts/cities and industrial zones within Central Java. Achieving this milestone maintains and even augments the optimism for Central Java's economic growth. The significance of maintaining a conducive business climate, through infrastructure enhancement, streamlined administrative processes, and investment facilitation, is expected to strengthen investor interest in potential projects within Central Java, and Indonesia at large," she continued.
During this event, the Governor of Central Java conveyed that a circular economy ecosystem is being promoted to support sustainable investment growth in Central Java. Meanwhile, Deputy Senior Governor of Bank Indonesia also mentioned that Bank Indonesia has programs such as IRU (Investor Relations Unit), RIRU (Regional IRU), and GIRU (Global IRU) that foster investment potentials in Indonesia. These programs map out regional potentials and engage in business matching with prospective investors curated by Bank Indonesia's Representative Offices abroad. This curation is expected to support and facilitate investor interest and investment realisation in Indonesia.
