Subang Regent along with Subang Vice Regent attended the Coffee Festival and Agricultural Product Exhibition organised by the Subang District Agriculture Office. The Coffee Festival showcased various coffee products alongside a range of agricultural products from Subang Regency. The event was aimed at preserving the existence of coffee in Subang. Coffee is not only present in the Ciater, Kasomalang, and Tanjungsiang areas, but also needs development and balance from upstream to downstream for both robusta and arabica coffee varieties. In the future, The Government will develop robusta and arabica as leading coffee types in Subang.

The District Agriculture Office also highlighted the increasing and promising business prospects of coffee. Efforts are underway to enhance the human resource capacity for coffee cultivation through a coffee school located in Bukanagara, Cisalak Subdistrict. The contribution of coffee to the country's foreign exchange is substantial. The event continued with the symbolic distribution of various aids to farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives in Subang Regency by the Regent and Vice Regent of Subang. Additionally, the Regent of Subang ceremoniously adorned participants of the barista competition. Indonesia ranks third in coffee production after Brazil and Vietnam, with a harvest of 11.7 million bags in 2022. The potential of coffee in Indonesia has a high chance of becoming a flagship product. The presence of the coffee festival is an ongoing effort to introduce the flavour of Subang coffee and must correlate with the productivity of farmers. The farmers are motivated to plant and increase their productivity, demonstrating that the quality of Subang coffee is equally important as that of other regions. The Vice Regent also underlined that the potential of the coffee commodity will be proportional to the expansiveness of the prepared and required land for its cultivation. The coffee business presents opportunities and challenges to enhance its productivity, ensuring that Subang Coffee gains recognition worldwide. Subang coffee would gain further recognition, thereby boosting our enthusiasm for agricultural products in Subang Regency.
