Indonesia-New Zealand Strengthen Halal Industry Cooperation

Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said the Indonesian government opened the door as wide as possible and would facilitate the New Zealand government in strengthening cooperation in the halal industry. This was revealed in a bilateral meeting between Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and New Zealand Minister of State for Trade and Export Growth Rino Tirikatene at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat No. 3-4 Jakarta. The government will not complicate Indonesia-New Zealand halal cooperation. We will also make it easier for the New Zealand government so that our relationship in the halal industry can run well and much faster. Gus Men added that the New Zealand Government must understand that Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world and the Indonesian government has an obligation to protect its citizens against what is consumed and worn.
New Zealand's Minister of State for Trade and Export Growth Rino Tirikatene said the meeting with the Minister of Religious Affairs and the joint ranks of the New Zealand delegation was to improve relations between the two countries that have long been standing. The three halal institutions are Halal Conformity Services, The Federatian of Islamic Associations of New Zealand and NZID Limited. As of August 2023, continued Chuzaemi, the LHLN has not completed the results of the verification of corrective documents. Halal Conformity Services, for example, regulatory training certificates and SJPH for halal auditors on behalf of Mahamed and Bashir Ali to be updated to halal auditor certificates and competencies no later than 1 year from the issuance of accreditation documents and conformity assessments.
