Cirebon City Records Investment Realisation Reaching IDR 330 Billion

The One-Stop Integrated Investment and Services Office (DPMPTSP) of Cirebon City, West Java, has reported that the current investment realisation in its region has reached IDR 330 billion, primarily dominated by the trade and service sectors. The investment value in Cirebon City has reached IDR 330 billion out of this year's target of IDR 800 billion. The trade and service sectors have consistently attracted investors to inject their capital, and it is predicted that the value will increase beyond the set target. Reflecting on 2022, he noted that the growth of investment in Cirebon City consistently rose significantly, achieving a realisation of IDR 728 billion out of the initial target of IDR 500 billion. The most sought-after sectors in Cirebon City are trade and services, as that is the characteristic. Establishing factories is not feasible due to the limited urban space.

This achievement was made possible through the efforts of DPMPTSP Cirebon City in attracting investors, particularly those categorised as domestic direct investment (PMDN). Overall, the realisation of the investment value is not yet at its maximum potential, considering the relatively high target set by the West Java Provincial Government. Nevertheless, the government remains optimistic that by the end of 2023, the investment achievement in Cirebon City will increase and meet the specified target. However, the investment target is from the province to the city, amounting to IDR 800 billion. The province (West Java) receives this target from the central government and then distributes it to districts and cities.
