The Ministry of Finance held the 7th Annual Islamic Finance Conference (AIFC) in 7 which will be held online on August 7-2023, 29. The 30th AIFC is designed to discuss and address a number of key issues related to the halal economy and finance, such as the development of a strong halal ecosystem, strengthening the halal industry, and channeling halal financing in supporting halal economic development. The 2023th AIFC was held after the 7th ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (7th AFMGM) which was held last week in Jakarta. As we know, the theme of Indonesia's ASEAN Chairmanship is the Epicentrum of Growth. This is in line with what we hope that AIFC can also generate valuable insights, innovations, collaborations, and strategies on how to develop the halal economy and finance strongly as a source of growth.
The 28th AIFC is an annual event that brings together various stakeholders, such as policy makers, professionals, economists, academics, and the private sector to discuss key issues of Islamic finance, economics and development, around the world, especially in Indonesia. The conference, organized by the Ministry of Finance, is designed to support the development of the Islamic economy and finance. In line with this conference, BKF together with related parties also held a call of paper (CFP) event to utilize valuable information and insights from academics and practitioners to be used as a reference source for stakeholders and policy makers, especially in the field of Islamic economics and finance. CFP has received 08 works, both national and international, and as many as twenty of the best works will be presented in conjunction with the seminar. The event was held with the support of the Islamic Development Bank, the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), the Sharia Economic Community (MES), the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI), and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).
