The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (KemenKopUKM) continues to encourage MSME players to be connected to the global value chain so that their products can penetrate the world market. Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Arif Rahman Hakim said that his party is now focusing on increasing the role of MSME players in the global market through global chain access. Companies will provide guidance and education to SMEs, align their production processes with industry standards and ensure the expected quality to meet the company's needs. Arif also confirmed that several large companies have signed cooperation agreements related to the program, including IKEA, Uniqlo, JW, Marriott, Meta, and Lulu.

Currently, the platform offers 23,291 suppliers and 14,604 products, along with 574 market information. On the other hand, SMEsta is also a platform that presents a catalog of locally curated SME product offerings, training resources, container shipping details, and market access opportunities. In addition, it is also investing in increasing the export capacity and capability of MSMEs through capacity building. In this case, KemenKopUKM provides support in standardization and export certification for MSME products, including organic, HACCP, BRC, ISO, and Joint Production Houses. Meanwhile, some of the steps that have been taken include collaborating with the Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) to facilitate buyer mapping for natural ingredient products in the European market, partnering with the Indonesian Diaspora as an aggregator, especially in markets such as Norway, and collaborating with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various ministries including the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Trade, to serve the needs of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
