Indonesia Exports Gas to Singapore 274 MMSCFD in the First Semester of 2023

Indonesia exports natural gas to Singapore. In a report by PT PGN Tbk (PGAS) through its subsidiary PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (PGI), natural gas exports through transmission pipelines to Singapore reached 274 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) in the first semester of 2023. Natural gas distribution to Singapore through the Grissik – Singapore pipeline amounted to 274 MMSCFD. Currently, TGI has transmission pipeline assets that are included in national vital objects, namely the 536 KM Grissik-Duri pipeline and the 468 KM Grissik-Singapore pipeline. As of June 2023, the total TGI gas flow volume is 558 BBTUD consisting of the Grissik – Duri pipeline volume of 284 MMSCFD and the Grissik – Singapore pipeline volume of 274 MMSCFD.


The composition of natural gas distribution by TGI is 70% for domestic needs, where the largest absorption is for oil and gas lifting and PGN in meeting the needs of its customers. While the remaining 30% is the distribution of export gas to Singapore. TGI also plays a role in the distribution of natural gas to PGN jargas in Jambi City, Dumai, Muaro Jambi, and Siak through the Grissik-Duri Pipeline. In addition, the Grissik Pipeline – Singapore participated in distributing gas for gas jars in Musi Banyuasin, Batam City, and West Tanjung Jabung.
