The Provincial Government of Bengkulu has reported that the realization of investment capital in the province, known as the Land of Rafflesia, has reached IDR 4.7 trillion until the second quarter of 2023. In the first quarter of 2023, it was recorded at IDR 1.5 trillion, and it increased to IDR 3.2 trillion in the second quarter, so the total until now is IDR 4.7 trillion as stated by the Head of the Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency of Bengkulu Province. He further mentioned that this investment capital encompasses various types of investments, managed by both large corporations and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Bengkulu. For the potential of the third and fourth quarters, The Agency are currently exploring the possibility of new opportunities and conducting guidance to ensure that business entities report their investment realisations. Bengkulu aims to achieve an investment realisation of IDR 7.5 trillion in 2023. This target is optimistically expected to be achieved by the end of 2023.
In July 2023, Bengkulu Province engaged in a trade mission led by East Java Province. The objective was to open opportunities for collaboration between regional governments and businesses in both regions, promoting trade transactions and investment in both areas. During this trade mission, the Governor of East Java announced that the trade and investment transactions between the Governments of East Java and Bengkulu had successfully reached IDR 192.7 billion. The trade mission between East Java and Bengkulu was attended by 200 entrepreneurs from both provinces. This activity is expected to serve as a platform for sellers and buyers to meet, while also serving as an opportunity to recognize the trade potential between the two provinces.
