North Sumatra has 252 Islamic boarding schools with approximately 7,661 teachers, 94,888 students and students. North Sumatra also has 11 sharia businesses that are actively managed by Islamic boarding schools. In that case, he said, the North Sumatra Provincial Government supports programs related to accelerating Islamic economic development in the region.

The North Sumatra Provincial Government has also formed the Regional Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KDEKS). The committee has work programs including the development of the halal product industry, the Islamic financial industry, Islamic financial funds and sharia entrepreneurship. Regarding the Launching of Sharia Capital Market Education and Literacy, Suherman hopes that the participants, who are actually missionaries, can make this activity a means of getting to know the Islamic capital market. Director of Finance and Human Resources of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Risa Efendi Rustam appreciated North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi for accepting the capital market industry and taking a role in its development in North Sumatra. In addition, Risa hopes that missionaries can be enlightened by the community, especially regarding the capital market, so that people are not trapped in illegal investments.
