Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan inaugurated the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Exhibition which displays superior products made by Indonesian children with high technology, environmentally friendly, and sustainable. The exhibition involves business actors, both micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and industry, as a form of Indonesia's real contribution in the 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship. The exhibition was attended by MSMEs and industry players whose products are high-tech, environmentally friendly, and sustainable according to the theme From Diversity to Sustainability. All ASEAN countries agreed to support and encourage the expansion of the MSME market because MSMEs play an important role in the economy. Focus on considerable attention on MSME players in various trade agreements, sectoral, regional, multilateral. A total of 12 MSMEs are present to display their products at Padma Hotel Semarang for some time to come.
In the food and beverage cluster, there are wedang uwuh from UD Barokah, Power G and Bu Legi onion juice, Wingko O snacks, candied fruit, candied chili, instant ongklok noodles, ready-to-eat instant eggs from Yuasafood, and lapis legit from Hollifood. In the handicraft cluster, there are home decorations from Agromina Fiber, bamboo crafts from Sukma Bamboo, home decorations and wall panels from PT Megah Sehat Sejahtera Jaya, jute crafts from Goena Goni, and natural material crafts from Bengok Craft. In the fashion cluster, there is batik with natural dyes and ecoprints Zie Batik and batik Kekean Wastra Gallery. In the industrial sector, there is a vehicle parts industry from PT Astra Otoparts, mortar from PT Mitra Kiara Indonesia, and environmentally friendly plastic replacement products PT Nirwana Alam Hijau. All participants were present side by side with the ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD) 2023 booth which was launched shortly before.
