Lebak Regency has been designated as a creative economy area by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, some time ago. Now, Serang Regency is striving to achieve what the 'Land of Kalimaya' has already accomplished. In Lebak Regency itself, there are numerous tourist destinations such as Paniai Sawarna Beach and the rich cultural heritage of the Baduy Tribe. Additionally, the regency boasts attractions like the Multatuli Museum and a variety of traditional foods. Lebak Regency has already been recognized as a creative economy regency. And Serang Regency might be the next in line as stated by Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
 
In Serang Regency, there are already two villages that have been awarded the Village Tourism Award (Anugerah Desa Wisata - ADW), namely Cikolelet and Kubang Baros. Sandiaga encourages the Serang Regency Government to accelerate the assessment process so that the area can be evaluated and potentially receive the title of a creative regency. Preparations need to be carried out in 2023, so that by 2024, the assessment process can begin to declare the regency as a creative hub in Banten. In the coming days, not too long, without bureaucratic delays, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy can process this, so that next year the assessment process can start. Then once everything is completed, Serang Regency will become a creative regency just like Lebak Regency.
