Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Reveals Indonesia’s Potential to Become the Center of World Economy Growth

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Tohir, said Indonesia must continue to maintain the momentum of a positive economic growth trend. Erick said Indonesia's economic growth was inversely proportional to the economic conditions of other countries such as Europe to the United States (US) due to geopolitical conditions that caused supply chain disruptions and global economic uncertainty. Indonesia economy grown 5.17% in the last seven quarters and until 2045 will continue to grow 5% every year so that we will become one of the countries with the world's largest economy. In realizing these efforts, Erick mentioned the importance of Indonesia's development based on a knowledge-based economy. The four sectors that are projected to be the main support are downstream natural resources, food industrialization, digital economy, and creative industries.
State-Owned Enterprises also encourage the culinary industry to enter the creative industry ecosystem. Not only helping in terms of financing, where 92% of people's business loans come from Himbara, Erick also optimizes SOE assets as a forum for the creative industry. Erick gave an example of how Sarinah's transformation is now a showcase for local products. Even Pos Bloc is a forum for culinary industry players.
